Preschool
Our Preschool 1 Program is a wonderful way to have your child begin their educational journey. Meeting 2 days a week, children will start to learn the classroom setting, structure, and most importantly how to work and play well with others- a skill needed throughout their entire life. They will also begin to explore colors, shapes, story time, music & movement, and other various activities all while using different types of play and arts & crafts to absorb these lessons. The children will have a great time singing, dancing, playing, painting, and reading.

Preschool
Our older preschool class is a time for older-three- and younger four-year-olds to come together to learn cooperation and self-help skills that will be essential in future classroom environments. These developments are achieved in this class while children learn about Seasons, Weather, Holidays, Days of the Week, Months of the Year, as well as letter introduction, rote and rational counting, and lots of work on pre-writing and fine motor skills. Preschoolers explore these topics through songs, books, open-ended art, gross motor games, fine-motor activities, and free play.
For children ages 3 years - 4 years. Children must be completely potty trained and able to separate from parent to attend a 3 day per week class.
Pre-K classes
This program is for children ages 4+. This age is a time of great exploration, self-discovery, and preparing for the next adventure in Kindergarten. Letters, numbers, shapes, colors are all explored and investigated. There is an emphasis on understanding not only letter recognition but that letters have sounds and these sounds create words, this is referred to phonemic awareness. Children are introduced to these concepts through books, music, games, cooking, art activities that are creative and open ended, and of course play.
Our Pre-K programs are for four- and five-year-olds. Children must be completely potty trained and able to separate from parent to attend a 3 (or more) day per week class.

Included in all of our Classroom Programs
Chapel
Children in each class take part in Chapel once per Month. Children typically meet in the Church Sanctuary for this time and hear a short story about God and how we are meant to care for each other. Chapel time is a chance for us all to slow down, reflect, and learn about God. This will sometimes include a brief bible story, a song, or a fun interactive activity. This is a sweet addition to our program and is a nice change of pace for children and teachers alike.

Music and Movement Program
"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything" -Plato
What Parent hasn't looked at their child at one point or another and wondered where on Earth they get their energy from? With our Music and Movement Program we encourage our students to get up, move their bodies, and sing loudly to expel the energy that is built up inside of them. During these classes children explore and learn about; rhythm, counting to the beat, types of movement, musical styles, and various types of instruments. Children also spend this time learning songs for the Christmas Program in December and their Preschool Performance in the Spring.
Studies have shown that children learn best when they have the ability to move around. We figure why fight that and have incorporated Music and Movement into all of our Classes @ Little Lamb Learners! Headed by Mrs. Amanda Swenson, each class features a Weekly Music and Movement session built into their Classroom's Schedule. Performances are open to the public and we invite parents, siblings, friends, and extended family to come see all the hard work, learning, and fun that each child and teacher puts into our Music and Movement Program!
