Preschool
Our preschool class is a time for three-year-olds to come together to learn cooperation and self-help skills that will be essential in future classroom environments. These developments are achieved in this class while children learn about Seasons, Weather, Holidays, Days of the Week, Months of the Year, as well as letter introduction, rote and rational counting, and lots of work on pre-writing and fine motor skills. Preschoolers explore these topics through songs, books, open-ended art, gross motor games, fine-motor activities, and free play.
For children ages 2.7 years - almost 4 years. Children must be completely potty trained and able to separate from parent to attend this class
Pre-K
This program is for children ages 4+. This age is a time of great exploration, self-discovery, and preparing for the next adventure in Kindergarten. Letters, numbers, shapes, and colors are all explored and investigated. There is an emphasis on understanding not only letter recognition but that letters have sounds and these sounds create words, this is referred to phonemic awareness. Children are introduced to these concepts through books, music, games, and art activities that are creative and open ended, and of course play.
Our Pre-K programs are for four and five-year-olds. Children must be completely potty trained and able to separate from parent to attend this class
